Ashlea Albertson was a vibrant and fearless young woman whose zest for life and passion for racing left an indelible mark on all who knew her. As a trailblazing race car driver, she inspired countless young women to break barriers in motorsports with her skill, perseverance, and radiant personality.

Born into a close-knit family, Ashlea was one of four sisters. Growing up in this loving and supportive environment shaped her into the strong, compassionate person she was. Her bond with her father was especially special—he was her biggest fan and unwavering supporter, both on and off the track. Their relationship was built on love, encouragement, and shared pride in Ashlea’s achievements.

Off the track, Ashlea lived life to the fullest. She was a proud third-year apprentice in the Insulators Union, bringing the same drive and dedication to her trade as she did to her racing career. She also had a heart full of love for animals and cherished her time with her beloved dogs, finding joy in their companionship.

One of Ashlea’s greatest sources of happiness was her family and friends. She adored her young nephew, who brought light and laughter into her life, and she poured her love into every moment spent with him. Equally important was her tight-knit friend group, lovingly referred to as “The Group.” These friendships were her most prized relationships, and she valued the time they shared above all else, treasuring the laughter, adventures, and memories they created together.

Ashlea was also preparing for one of the most exciting chapters of her life—her upcoming wedding. She was eagerly planning her future with her fiancé, looking forward to building a life filled with love, joy, and new adventures.

Tragically, Ashlea’s life was cut short in a senseless road rage incident in August 2023. Her passing devastated her family, friends, and the motorsports community.

Ashlea’s legacy continues through the Ashlea Albertson Legacy Foundation, which empowers young women in motorsports and advocates for road safety to prevent future tragedies. Her love for her family, friends, animals, and racing, and her dreams for the future will forever inspire those she touched.

Ashlea’s life was a testament to living with passion, kindness, and determination—a reminder to cherish the people and moments that matter most.
